Young Sharks fan scores a new puppy thanks to an assist from Brent Burns

Two seasons ago Bobby Ryan sent a couple of young Ottawa Senators fans home extremely happy after he potted a goal in the Senators’ 3-0 victory over the New York Rangers. While the tally was just another marker in the goal category for Ryan, it was a brand new dog for the young fans.

On Saturday night in Vancouver, a young Sharks fan showed up with a sign with a message directed towards Brent Burns.

Being the great guy that Burns is, he came through for the young fan almost immediately after he noticed it during the team’s pre-game skate.

That wasn’t the only fan who went home with a special souvenir courtesy of Burns, as he gave another one of his sticks to a young fan behind the team’s bench with a fake beard.
