There’s no telling how long the NHL’s current hiatus could go on for, and what things would look like when or if hockey is able to come back in time to finish the ongoing season.
What that leaves us is, well, potentially a lot of teams’ hard work this season gone to waste without a satisfying conclusion. Even if the season returned in time for some form of a postseason, it may take a shortened regular season schedule or expanded playoff field to get it done.
Most NHL teams had around a dozen games left in their schedule, and this stretch run was supposed to decide who would ultimately make the playoff field. In lieu of actual game results, we decided to turn to you guys for your best sales pitch on why your team deserves to be in the playoffs.
