The Chicago Cubs have had a rough home stand against the Pittsburgh Pirates this week, with the roughest outing coming on Tuesday night.

The Cubs fans in attendance pretty much had nothing to cheer about all night long as the hosts were blanked 6-0, but that all changed thanks to the Wrigley rally rat. Late in the game, a rat was spotted attempting to get out of Wrigley Field by hopping over the outfield wall and the crowd got behind the little creature.

After a few failed attempts the rat persevered and made it over the massive wall in the outfield and got an ovation from the crowd to match.

This isn’t the first time this season a rat has been spotted in a MLB ballpark as fans as Fenway Park in Boston also had to deal with a similar situation.
