The Golden State Warriors have been one of the most dominant NBA teams in league history over the past five years and it doesn’t look like their run as a dynasty is going to slow down anytime soon.
Since they’ve won championships in three of the past four seasons, the Warriors have every right to enter the 2018-19 season feeling a lot looser and more confident than the rest of the league. With that being said, the Warriors didn’t waste any time getting into the fun stuff this season as they’ve already taken part in one of the best bits we’ll see this season.
DeMarcus Cousins, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry all thought they were about to listen to ‘Sicko Mode’ by Travis Scott featuring Drake, but right before the first drop comes in the song quickly transitions to ‘Careless Whisperer’ by George Michael. Not all of the players seemed to be on board with the switch, but those who were for it loved every bit of it.
The Minnesota Timberwolves did a similar bit last season, as they tricked a bunch of their players into thinking they were going to listen to ‘XO Tour Llif3’ by Lil Uzi Vert but quickly transitioned into ‘How Am I Supposed to Live Without You’ by Michael Bolton.
