St. Louis Blues sniper Vladimir Tarasenko is known as one of the most lethal scorers in the NHL. We’ve seen his goal total increase every single year, and he already has 134 goals through 318 career games. However, what some people don’t know about the 25-year-old is that he also has one of the biggest hearts in the league.
On Monday, Tarasenko did something very special for Arianna Dougan, an 11-year-old Blues fan who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer that affects nerve cells and can spread throughout the body, when she was just three-years-old.
It turns out the trip was actually a package that was up for auction at the team’s Casino Night last week, which Tarasenko ended up winning so he could give it to Arianna and her mother for Arianna's birthday.
Not only did they surprise her with her very own St. Louis Blues jersey and a trip to Phoenix and Colorado for a two-game road trip, but they also joined in and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her, giving her a birthday surprise she will never forget.
