Vince Carter has been around a long, long time. He is one of four players that can boast that he played in the 90’s (Jason Terry, Dirk Nowitzki, and Manu Ginobili are the others), and throughout his career he’s accumulated a lot of fans (as well as a few enemies.)

Generally speaking, VC15 is well liked around the league. One of the greatest dunkers of all-time has also amassed quite a few international fans. Here’s one that flew halfway around the world to see his hero play, and was rewarded with the surprise of a lifetime.

While some may think he’s too old to compete, he is still showing that he can throwdown – and he’s having fun with it too.

Daily reminder that Vince Carter is 41. 🔥

His inspiration has left its mark on the league, and Donovan Mitchell – a rookie from the Utah Jazz – even won this year’s dunk contest by replicating a dunk Carter threw down way back in the 2000 edition. Mitchell was four years old at the time of the dunk.

The man is a living legend, and we can understand the excitement of a fan getting to meet the long time idol.
