A scary moment took place during the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings game on Saturday night as Warriors guard Patrick McCaw was stretchered off the court after a hard fall. Following the game, Vince Carter met with the media and used his time with them to apologize to both McCaw and the Warriors for what happened on the court.

While watching the play at first, it looked like McCaw came down awkwardly and it forced him to fall on his back, but after watching it over again it’s clear that Vince Carter made contact with the youngster while he was in the air and Steve Kerr was not pleased with the NBA veteran.

Carter has never had the reputation of being a dirty player and you can tell how bad he felt about the entire play as soon as he noticed McCaw was on the ground in a lot of pain. After getting caught up in the heat of the moment, even Kerr went over to Carter to comfort him while the Warriors’ sophomore remained down on the court.

Members of the Warriors also discussed the play after the game and both Draymond Green and Kevin Durant agreed that the play was not on purpose and that Carter has never had that type of reputation.

The Warriors’ PR team provided some really good news on Sunday morning, as it turns out the preliminary X-ray, CT scan and MRI exams all came back clear and the 22-year-old will be released from the hospital later in the day.

We've seen a lot of scary injuries take place this NBA season and we're hoping this is the last one.
