Taylor Hall is clearly a highly competitive guy, and he’s closer than he’s ever been to making the playoffs in the NHL.
Every point matters for the New Jersey Devils and they were in tough on Saturday night against the Western Conference-leading Nashville Predators. The game ended up going to a shootout and a fan noticed Taylor Hall during the final shot and he couldn’t bear to watch.
That’s someone who is putting everything on the line for his team.
Hall is getting a lot of MVP consideration because of his stellar season, but especially because of the difference in impact between him and any of his other teammates. Hall has been stellar this season, but based on his quotes earlier this year and that video that shows he can barely watch in tense moments, all he cares about is getting into the post season.
Luckily, Hall and the Devils won that game, but they’re going to have to hold off the Blue Jackets and Panthers if they want to remain in a playoff position.
