One of the best parts about getting to the arena early enough for the pre-game warm-ups is the fact that young fans are allowed to get as close to the ice as possible regardless of where their actual seats are located.
For some fans, the pre-game warm-ups become the best part of their night if they end up getting hooked up with some sort of memorabilia from one of the players, and it’s even more memorable when it’s their favourite player who comes through for them. Ahead of the Dallas Stars’ home game against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night, a young fan asked Tyler Seguin if she could get one of his sticks for her birthday and the five-time NHL All-Star made it a birthday she’ll never forget.
Seguin noticed the young fan’s sign during the team’s pre-game warm-ups and made sure to send her home with a special birthday present before he made his way down to the tunnel back to the room.
Pretty good birthday for the young fan as she got to take home a signed, game-used Tyler Seguin stick and also got to see him score a goal in a Stars victory.
