As much as we love it when teams do special theme nights throughout the season, Minor League Baseball teams goes above and beyond with their theme nights. Just when you thought they have already thought of it all, they managed to come up with new creative ideas for the upcoming season.
The Houston Astros’ Triple-A affiliate Fresno Grizzlies have two specific music theme nights in store for fans this season. The first one is going to take place on April 20 and will be known as 90s Night. That night, the team is going to honour the 25th anniversary of Kris Kross’ album ‘Totally Krossed Out’ by hitting the field in backwards jerseys, inspired by the group.
They’re not done there. On June 1st the team will host Classic Vinyl Night and will honour the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ 'Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band' album.
The players will hit the field looking like the 5th member of The Beatles, while fans get to take in a tribute concert at the stadium following the game.
