On the latest Cabbie Presents Podcast with Cabral Richards, Cabbie welcomed Washington Capitals power forward Tom Wilson and Flames centre Sean Monahan onto the podcast.

Among the topics were awkward Instagram encounters, summer jams, ESPN The Magazine Body Issue, the difference between hockey culture and basketball culture, Brampton, and fighting.

Cabbie asked Wilson for his thoughts on the fight between Andrei Svechnikov and Alexander Ovechkin during the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoff that resulted in Svechnikov being knocked out by The Great 8.

“They were battling for a while before that, no one really realized. End of the regular season, they were really going at it and it was kind of the peak of the confrontation. And Ovi’s a lefty. He’ll tell him, that’s not even his dominant hand.”

"He’s just an extremely powerful — he’s a huge — anyone that’s seen him off the ice, he’s just a unit, you know? He chugs around out there.”

Cabbie then asked for a first-hand experience POV of the whole fiasco since Wilson rides shotgun on the right-winger with Ovi.

At first, I’m like, ‘Oh god, don’t get hurt, Ovi.’ At first thought, it was ‘Why is Ovi fighting?’ Then it was, ‘Oh. Oh no.’ And then, it is what it is.”

“Ovi caught a lot of heat for it. It was an ongoing thing. Like he finally was like ‘Okay.’”

Talk about raw power and strength in Ovechkin's punches. If Conor McGregor gives you a shutout, you know it's a big deal.
