The name Tony Hawk has been synonymous with skateboarding in mainstream popular culture for more than 20 years. For most, it's hard to think of a time when Hawk wasn't skateboarding's foremost ambassador, as he truly helped grow the sport to all new levels.

One thing that truly makes Hawk one of the greatest skaters of all-time is his longevity in a sport that is quite unforgiving on the body. This weekend, to celebrate turning 50-years-old, Hawk released a new video in which he pulled off 50 different tricks, some of which he openly admitted might be for the final time due to his age. Watch a true master at work.

Imagine still being able to drop in on a ramp at 50-years-old, let alone being able to do any of those tricks. The man is like a fine wine.

While Hawk's begun to roll off into the twilight of his skate career, his family bloodline is still going strong in skateboarding. Hawk's oldest son, Riley, followed in his footsteps and is also a professional skateboarder, albeit in the streets and not in vert.
