The Toronto Raptors extended their winning streak to nine games by defeating the Brooklyn Nets 116-102 on Tuesday night.
Valanciunas lead the way with 26 points and 14 boards to give the Dinos their 16th win in their past 17 games. For the third straight season, the Raps reached the 50 win threshold after taking 20 years to finally hit that benchmark. If you watched JV and the Raps do their thing on TSN, then you would’ve noticed that amount of Raptors fans present in Brooklyn.
The distance between Brooklyn is just under 800km, giving Raps fans a quick getaway during March break by either doing the nine hour drive to New York or taking an hour and a half plane.
Perhaps the most notable Raps fan taking in the game was none other than Maple Leafs legend Tie Domi, who was shown a few times on the broadcast cheering on the team.
Just look at that big grin!
One thing that’s for sure is that the longer the Raptors continue to win and make noise heading into the post-season, the more you’ll see sports figures start to back the club.
Last week, Drake brought out several Toronto Sports celebs prior to tip-off against the Rockets. Can you name them all?
Watch out, basketball world, the North is making their mark across North America.
