We all know about fan interference as an issue in major league baseball. With fans sitting so close to the action, sometimes an over-zealous fan may jump at the opportunity to catch a souvenir and get in the way of the actual player trying to make a play. Just ask Steve Bartman.
Is there, on the other hand, such thing as player interference with the fan experience? Well, Jesse Winker almost went down that road by interfering with one of the most important elements of a fan’s stadium experience – the food.
Nahhh, we’re just kidding. If anything, this would have made the fan’s day – even if it was a Braves fan interacting with a Reds player. At least he didn’t toss the nachos, like one famous pizza tosser at Fenway Park…
