Foul balls are always a fun part of the fan experience at baseball games, but not if you’re sitting in one of the danger zones.
Baseball fans in the outfield, or along the first and third baselines can often catch balls that are hit into the stands and go home with a souvenir, but not everyone is so lucky. There is netting put up to cover some of the more dangerous places that a ball could go into the stands. So, fans who get seats in places like behind home plate usually aren’t hoping to catch a ball.
So, there might not be any reason to get excited about a foul ball, but we assumed most people would still be scared to see ball coming directly at them.
We’re not sure we trust anything as much as this fan trusts this netting.
That might be the greatest non-flinch we’ve ever seen in our lives.
Of course, the one that probably sits number one in most people’s rankings would be this famous moment between Matt Barnes and Kobe Bryant.
That is one of those clips that really helped sum up the “Mamba Mentality” that Kobe is always talking about, and we’re sure he would say the same thing about that woman at the Blue Jays game. All we can hope now is that there’s not another angle that shows the ball wasn’t really going at her at all… like we did with Kobe’s famous no-flinch.
