As NFL fans we are used to a few things, Thursday Night Football a lazy Sunday with snacks and…more Football, as well as the cherry on top AKA Monday Night Football. This week fans everywhere are getting an extra treat with the third ever edition of Tuesday night Football. That’s right, this isn’t the first time the NFL has had to reschedule a game for Tuesday.

The last time this happened was not that too ago, December 28, 2010, where the Minnesota Vikings took on the Eagles in Philadelphia. The game was postponed from Sunday due to a winter storm that was headed for Philly. Quarterback Joe Webb made his first career NFL start for the Vikings and took down the Eagles 24-14 with a bevy of highlights for his game tape.

The only other time the NFL hosted a game on Tuesday Night Football was again courtesy of some bad weather when heavy rain forced the game to be postponed. It was a matchup between the Boston Yanks (I know, funny right?) and the New York Giants in 1946. The Yanks stomped all over the Giants in a 17-0 victory at home.

We can expect a few more editions of this trend in the NFL with COVID-19 seeping its way into the league. For now let us enjoy this while it lasts, if we are lucky we will get to have a week where football is played every single night!
