Hockey, like any sport, is an emotional game and when you score a goal, emotions take over and you get excited, which is a wonderful thing.
Scoring goals is fun, so there's no reason players shouldn't have some fun and be excited like Auston Matthews was Monday night after scoring.
That goal celebration was the best one of the night in the NHL, but Jack Eichel's in Calgary was a close second due to the fact that he scored the game winner in overtime, the celebration was epic, he celebrated right in the face of Flames fan, and that same Calgary fan gave him the classic 'double bird.'
Can't blame the Flames fan for reacting that way and you can't blame Eichel for celebrating the way he did. Combine the two opposite reactions to the goal and you get one awesome moment.
Plus, this isn't the first time Eichel has celebrated in front of fans of the opposing team, so we hope we see this more going forward.
