Christian McCaffrey is playing like a man possessed right now.
Through the first five weeks of the 2019 NFL season the 23-year-old Carolina Panthers running back leads the league in attempts, rushing yards and rushing yards per game (117.4), and he’s only getting better with each passing week.
This past Sunday the Panthers got by the Jacksonville Jaguars, 34-27, thanks to McCaffrey’s 237 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, and his nicest score of the afternoon was his very first one as he leaped over a defender and into the end zone for the six points.
On Tuesday the Panthers shared the call on the play from the Spanish broadcast and it makes it even better. (It also makes you forget that it’s the first touchdown of the afternoon in a Week 5 matchup).
The run was pretty incredible so you can’t blame them for getting as hyped up as they did.
Last season, McCaffrey ran for 1,098 yards and seven touchdowns on 219 attempts. This season, he’s already up to 587 yards and six touchdowns on 105 attempts through five games.
