Look, the Space Jam 2 trailer dropped this morning and now that some time has passed, we’ve gotten a chance to digest it. Yes, we've watched it over and over. But this isn’t just your ordinary trailer. it’s filled with all kinds of Easter eggs and references.
Let’s start with the Goon Squad. As much as we love the Monstars, this new Goon Squad looks incredible. With a closer look and a couple of freeze frames, you might recognize some of these villains.
LeBron James’ teammate, Anthony Davis, is now one of his opponents.
Davis is joined by Damian Lillard, Diana Taurasi, and Klay Thompson as other players who showed up in the trailer.
There’s apparently a lot of other basketball stars that make appearances in Space Jam 2, so keep your eyes open when the movie is out in theatres.
Aside from these appearances, the movie also has incredibly detailed references. The one spotted in the trailer came from this iconic moment between LeBron and Dwyane Wade.
Looks like in Space Jam 2, Lola Bunny will be LeBron’s All-Star teammate.
If you keep analysing this trailer, there’s likely a ton of other Easter eggs just waiting to be found.
