Hockey returned on Tuesday and thankfully every team gets to play in one exhibition game before the games count, whether it be the play-in series or the round robin for the top teams in each conference.
The reason we say we're happy every team gets to play an exhibition game is because the players haven't played a meaningful game since the middle of March and it's an opportunity to get rid of the rust. The Penguins are in the process of doing just that as they got a too many men penalty for having 10 skaters on the ice at once.
One or two extra skaters on the ice, we can understand. A whole line of extra skaters, though....that's just unheard of.
Like we said, thankfully it's an exhibition game.
