The St. Louis Blues are Stanley Cup champions for the first time in franchise history and they did it in an unbelievable way.
Six months ago the Blues were dead last in the NHL. They fired their coach and called up Jordan Binnington and that was the beginning of an incredible run that ended with them hoisting hockey’s most prized possession.
You can’t even make this stuff up. People were ready for the Blues to mail it in the rest of the way, but they kept on fighting and now they have all the bragging rights in the world leading up to next season since they’re now Stanley Cup champions.
They say to never stop trying until the final buzzer goes and this year’s Blues team proved that throughout the course of the season.
