They’re nicknamed the Bronx Bombers for a reason.
The New York Yankees have been crushing the ball out of the park this season, and their 128 dingers are good for the 4th place in the majors, trailing only Minnesota (147), Seattle (144), and Milwaukee (135).
They’ve also been hitting them pretty consistently. Record breaking consistency, in fact.
It didn’t take long, as DJ LeMahieu took a 2-2 pitch from Clayton Richard and bombed it into the left field seats.
Just to add a little “UMPH” to the record, Aaron Judge was the next batter and – as he tends to do against the Toronto Blue Jays – he also went deep.
They’re bombing in the Bronx.
