The 1993-94 New York Rangers were quite the team. With players such as Adam Graves, Mark Messier, Sergei Zubov and of course Mike Richter in net, those Rangers were a remarkable outfit, and their Game 7 win against the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Final was one of the more remarkable title-clinchers in memory.

Not to mention that their leader in penalty minutes that season was a guy by the name of Jeff Beukeboom.

This year is the 25th anniversary of that Stanley Cup championship, and as a result, the Rangers will hold a giveaway of replica championship rings for fans in attendance of their home game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday.

As far as giveaways go, these are pretty neat! As anyone who has ever owned a replica ring knows, the materials are nothing special at all, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t still a cool little game souvenir.

At the same time, championship rings have only gotten cooler and cooler since the Rangers got their last in 1994. We think a replica of these Warriors championship rings, which are the first reversible rings in sports history, would be great to own as well.
