It's hard not be excited about the upcoming season if you're a Leafs fan, but there's still an on-going issue that needs to be sorted out before fans can fully embrace the excitement.
William Nylander is an RFA and has not signed a contract yet. With training camp right around the corner, fans are hoping he signs a deal and is in camp preparing with his teammates for the upcoming season.
Chances are, however, that a deal won't be signed by the time training camp starts and Nylander won't be in camp, and if you needed any other evidence to convince you of that fact, the Leafs left him off of their training camp roster.
There's no need to be worried, though, if you're a Toronto fan because Kyle Dubas admitted he expects Nylander not to show up to camp if he doesn't have a contract.

That's not to say fans won't be worried if we're a week away from the season starting and Nylander still isn't signed, but for now, take it day by day Leafs faithful.
