He stay? He go?
It sounds simple, but it’s been one of the hottest, most unanswerable questions to hit Toronto in a long time. It is, of course, referring to Toronto Raptors superstar Kawhi Leonard’s impending free agency, and whether he’ll skip town for another team by the time next season tips off, or sticks around in Toronto to try and defend their franchise first NBA Championship.
While he hasn’t given much information directly, fans and NBA personalities have made a habit of hyper-analyzing just about everything the man does, and then they debate about what it means to his free agency situation.
The latest Kawhi spotting may be the most interesting one yet. While fans will chat about his visit to Niagara Falls, or his attendance at the Toronto Blue Jays game, a visit to Home Depot is what has everyone’s ears perking up the most.
He wasn’t buying paint for his new living room, or wood to begin crafting a deck. He was buying moving boxes.
What does this mean?
Well, the knee jerk reaction of some fans is that he’s moving out of Toronto, headed back down south of the border. Maybe he’s moving from a temporary house in Toronto, to a more permanent residence.
Who knows? Nobody. Everyone has an opinion though!
