Football fans could be seeing Jalen Ramsey in Jaguars threads for longer than expected.
Following a dominant Thursday night 20-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans, Jags owner Shahid Khan expressed his admiration for Ramsey and his willingness to make him the highest paid corner in the league, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Despite a Week 2 sideline argument with head coach Doug Marrone, Rapoport noted Ramsey’s issues with club stem from management and not the coaching staff.
According to Rotoworld, the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles are among the top teams interested in Ramsey’s services. The 24-year-old is coming off his second consecutive Pro Bowl season and was named first-team All-Pro in 2017. Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill appeared to break the NFL’s tampering rule with what looked like a recruiting message on Twitter.
The Jags are reportedly seeking at least two first round picks in exchange for their star defender. Time will tell if Ramsey gets dealt but Khan ultimately has the last word and could make a harder push to keep his guy.
