All is good for the Carolina Hurricanes right now.

Following an eventful offseason in which he organization dealt franchise pieces Jeff Skinner, Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanifin, Carolina has punched their way into the Metropolitan Division’s top spot with a 6-3-1 record after last night’s 4-3 shootout win over the San Jose Sharks. First year head coach Rod Brind’Amour has been opening a lot of eyes this season and most importantly letting his players have fun, which couldn’t be more evident in the team’s recent post-game shenanigans.

The ‘Canes have fared well at home this year with a 3-1-1 record and after a few of their wins, they’ve been brining out their own version of Minnesota’s classic ‘SKOL’.

That right there is one of the best victory celebrations in hockey, and fans seem to agree!

Defenceman Dougie Hamilton had a little fun of his own after being named last night’s second star. Just when you thought the floss was restricted to 10-year-olds on the jumbotron these days, Hamilton came out and proved otherwise.

That took guts, Dougie, real guts.

It’s got to be tough for opposing players/teams to see/hear this one, but we have a feeling a certain Winnipeg Jet (and Minnesota native) wouldn’t mind witnessing it as much as others
