Ding dong, the witch is dead!
The Washington Capitals have finally gotten the monkey off their back and advanced to the Eastern Conference final, and they went through their nemesis, the Pittsburgh Penguins, to do so. In their 10 total playoff meetings, the pesky Penguins have eliminated the Caps nine of those times. That’s one-third of the Caps’ 27 total playoff appearances.
As expected, the Twitter sphere burst when Evgeny Kuznetsov put home the OT winner.
