By now, if you’re a fan of just about any sport, you’ve probably heard of the Drake curse. For quite a while, there was an uncanny trend of Drake picking a team or athlete that would then go onto lose, no matter how safe the bet was. He’s “hexed” Conor McGregor, Alabama football, a slew of soccer teams in Europe, the Leafs, and more.
It’s gotten to the point where some teams actually don’t want his support. In fact, the Charlotte Checkers have an enticing offer for Drake ahead of their playoff matchup with the Toronto Marlies.
Really trying to take advantage of playing a Toronto-based team that a “cursed” rapper calls home, eh? Honestly, whatever works.
