It’s hard to think of any more distinctive regional accents than what they have going on in Beantown, as anyone who has seen Good Will Hunting, The Departed, The Town or literally any Boston-based film can attest to.
The Celtics decided to have some fun with this, with a bunch of players trying on their best Boston accents. We don’t have any Marky Mark’s here, but a bunch of these are pretty good!
For our money, Gordon Hayward or Terry Rozier have the best accents here. We’d love to see the Bruins give this a try, too. Can you imagine Zdeno Chara trying to speak in New Englandese, or Brad Marchand?!
Marchand was a recent guest on the latest edition of Cabbie Presents, and talked about some of his anti-hero qualities with Cab. No Boston accent, unfortunately.
