The Atlanta Hawks are making a commitment.

This year, we’ve seen a sharp turning point for societal change. Many teams, players, leagues and organizations have made statements condemning police brutality and systemic racism. Now comes the hard part, when they actually have to back up those statements.

Organizations actually have to commit to taking steps towards change, and there’s no more middle ground anymore: you’re either in, or you’re out. The Hawks are making it clear that they’re hungry for and committed to change, and these new jerseys prove it.

The Hawks just released their 2020–21 MLK Nike City Edition uniform, and they’re not only things of beauty, they also have a significant meaning.

Proceeds from these jerseys will go to support economic empowerment programs for Atlanta's communities of colour, and the team will also host ‘Unity Nights’ this upcoming season when these jerseys will be worn.

Amazing idea, and the jerseys turned out great.
