It took a much longer time than it should have, but Terrell Owens finally was selected to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year.
Unfortunately for fans planning on going to see Owens get inducted into the Hall of Fame, he won't be there in person for the ceremony. On Thursday, Owens released a statement informing the football world he declined an invitation to attend the induction ceremony.
Hall of Fame President David Baker also released a statement regarding Owens' decision to not attend the induction ceremony.
It's disappointing that Owens won't be at the induction ceremony, but hopefully he involves the fans in some way when he celebrates his induction at a later date.
