Teemu Selanne is a legend in hockey, but the only thing that might succeed his status in his hockey career is the one piece of equipment that he will be forever associated with: The Jofa.
Jofa helmets nowadays are a novelty to kids playing NHL video games or looking at vintage hockey pictures, but they were a major part of the game back in the day. Wayne Gretzky probably had the most legendary Jofa of all time, but Selanne is up there because of how long he wore the helmet.
Even when he wasn’t wearing the Jofa, he still had something like it in the NHL. Most recently he wore a Warrior helmet in an alumni game, but the Jofa made a comeback for the Liiga Alumni All-Star game in Finland.
Selanne wasn’t the only one to rock a vintage bucket either. Several alumni players brought out their vintage buckets as well.
