The Montreal Alouettes used the 2018 CFL season to honour previous teams by rocking a different old school logo on their helmet during each month of the season.

From the French horn to the retro delta logo, the Als gave Canadian football fans a little taste of their history throughout the year and now they appear ready to turn the pager over to the next chapter. Nearly one month ago, the Alouttes teased their possible new threads on social media and throughout the city of Montreal and we got one step closer to the actual revealing on Monday, thanks to Chris Creamer of SportsLogos.net.

While the original promo photo the team shared out had the logo on the helmet covered up, if you head over to ToujoursGame.ca, you’re able to get a better idea of how the team’s helmet and logo will look next season.

According to Chris Creamer of SportsLogos.net, the Alouettes trademarked two new graphics back in July. The first graphic is the one that appears to be the main logo on the helmet, while the second graphic is a wordmark that combines the words ‘Montreal’ and Als’ to spell out ‘Montreals’

Based on Creamer’s deep dive of the logo and promo photo, it looks like the larger logo to the left on the above graphic is going to be the Alouettes’ new go-to logo when it comes to their helmets, while all the smaller retro logos will appear on the side of the helmet.

There’s no confirmation from the Montreal Alouettes or the CFL just yet, but we’re guessing this is what we’ll see come the official unveiling.
