Steve Nash and Steve Kerr both had very memorable NBA careers with their fair share of highlights. While Kerr enjoyed five championships as a member of the Bulls and Spurs, Nash never had the honour of watching his team's banner raise to the rafters.

Years after his retirement as an NBA player, Nash joined the Golden State Warriors as a consultant to the players. In his first season, the Warriors went 73-9 in the regular season but would lose in the NBA Finals to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his second season with the club, the Warriors won the NBA Finals in dominating fashion giving Nash his first championship, even if it was in the capacity of a consultant.

While most players received their rings as part of a large team ceremony, Nash received his a little while later, and not as quite traditionally. In an Instagram post from Nash, the former star point guard can be seen receiving the ring from a shirtless Steve Kerr in what he described as "his own personal ceremony" where "clothing was optional".

Regardless of how he received his ring, it is about time the Canadian superstar was involved in a championship team.
