This goal was a long time coming Dallas Stars defenceman Stephen Johns.
Because of post-traumatic headaches, Johns missed almost two years of play following March 29th, 2018, including the entire 2018-19 campaign. He made his return to the lineup on January 18th, and on Monday night, he scored his first goal since February 16th, 2018.
βTried to hold in the emotions, but the only thing I could think of all night were my parents sitting in the crowd,β Johns wrote on Twitter.
Just a terrific comeback story. The Stars stuck by Johns throughout his recovery process, and itβs great to see him finally getting his career back on track.
