The Golden State Warriors are in Toronto for a tilt with the Raptors on Thursday night, but they’re going to be without two key starters as both Steph Curry and Draymond Green are not expected to see any action.
However, just because Curry won’t be in the lineup on Thursday it doesn’t mean he can’t get in a pre-game workout or make a young fan’s night who showed up early in hopes of catching a glimpse of the two-time NBA MVP. Not only did he hit the court for the quick workout, but he also came through for a young fan rocking his jersey.
Considering most players tend to skip the pre-game workout when they’re not expected to play that night, it’s pretty awesome that Curry still took to the court to put in some work for the fans who did buy tickets for the Warriors’ lone trip to Toronto during the regular season. But it’s even better that he stopped everything just to give the young fan a moment of his time and even apologized to him for not being in the lineup.
All of this comes just hours after Curry responded to a young fan by the name of Riley Morrison, who wrote a letter to the three-time NBA champion asking why his shoes are only available in boys and men’s sizes.
Even if you don’t like the Warriors you’ve got to respect what Steph Curry does both on and off the court.
