Earlier this season the New York Rangers introduced their adorable puppy, Ranger, they’re training to become a service dog for a child with autism and now the St. Louis Blues are following in their footsteps.
On Tuesday, the Blues announced they’ve partnered with Duo, a non-profit organization that specializes in training service dogs, to adopt a yellow Labrador Retriever that they’ll train over the next 18 months to become a future assistance dog.
The puppy doesn’t have a name just yet, as the Blues will let fans vote on the puppy’s name from now through November 8, and they’ll follow that up by formally introducing the team’s new pup when they host the San Jose Sharks on November 9.
The doggo will make appearances at the Enterprise Center throughout the season and will have a spot in the team’s front office.
