The 2018 World Cup Final is set after Croatia came back to stun England with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday evening. While many people outside of Croatia didn’t expect them to make it very in the tournament, their supporters haven’t doubted their squad one bit during their incredible run in Russia and now they have a chance to capture their first ever World Cup title.
With this being the country’s first trip to the World Cup Final in the history of the tournament, the scenes in Croatia were pretty wild when they realized they were heading to the final stage.
The furthest Croatia has ever made it in the tournament before this year was back in 1998 in France where they lost 2-1 in the semi-finals against the host country, but now they can get the ultimate revenge if they can capture their first title against the same country who ended their miraculous run 20 years ago.
The 2018 World Cup Final will take place on Sunday with coverage beginning at 10am ET/7am PT across TSN and on CTV.
