When Duke's Zion Williamson's Nike shoe infamously split apart in February 20th game against North Carolina, the news made international headlines and caused the company's stock to drop one percent.

Nike felt the criticism online from basketball fans, sneaker junkies and product consumers, and now, one of their competitors has decided to take a shot at them. You might remember Puma dishing out a jab as Williamson was taken off the court via a tweet that has now since been deleted.

Skechers has now joined in on "ripping" on Nike with an Instagram ad of one of their basketball shoes with the slogan "Just Blew It" and "We won't split on you."

As per Bleacher Report, Skechers also ran the ad in Sunday's sports section of the New York Times.

Blue Devils players must wear Nike shoes since the team is sponsored by the brand.

Williamson is listed day-to-day with a Grade 1 knee sprain. The expected first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft is averaging 21.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in his freshman season.
