What is it about the Washington Capitals that it seems they can’t get their young fans pucks? Okay, maybe ithappened just twice but still – what is happening in Washington?
Last year, a video of Brett Connolly went viral when it took him three tries to get a young girl (who drew a collective awwwwe from just about everyone that watched it) a puck she so desperately wanted. The first two attempts ended with a young fan getting the puck, but not the ones intended by Connolly.
Fast forward a few months and Braden Holtby will have something to talk about with Connolly later. Holtby found himself in a similar (although not QUITE as dramatic) situation as Connolly – trying to get a puck to a particular fan, and having to circle back to grab a new one when the wrong young fan got it.
Washington may need to get some extra pucks. Apparently every time they try to hook a fan up they need to use a few…
