The NHL is an interesting place. Player’s lives are treated as assets or stock, and in the blink of an eye on man’s life can be uprooted and sent elsewhere. Sometimes it’s a good thing, sometimes it’s a tough blow.
It always helps to have a friend come along. While this is usually done through a multi-player trade, it doesn’t have to be that way. Columbus Blue Jackets stars (at least, currently) Artemi Panarin and goalie Sergei Bobrovsky may be pulling it off a different way.
According to TSN analyst Bob McKenzie, the Breadman and Bob are both visiting Florida. With the Panthers seeming to be coveting a win-now mentality, a star winner and a proven stud goalie are two massive parts of that equation.
It would be quite a shift, as most of the Jackets star power from their surprising sweep of the Tampa Bay Lightning and eventual fall to the Boston Bruins would be wrapped up in the signings.
Bob believes that Bobrovsky would be more of a priority for Florida, as the future of veteran Roberto Luongo remains in question.
