The Calgary Flames sit atop the Western Conference standings and have the second-most points in the entire NHL through 64 games. On top of having one of the best records in the league, the Flames have been one of the highest scoring teams this year and they have a few players to thank for their turnaround.
Two players the Flames have been able to rely on for a few years now are Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan and they’ve been delivering for Calgary all year long as they’ve combined for 59 goals and 151 points in 64 regular season games. With some time off until their next game, the Flames’ offensive duo had some fun with the NHL and got into a friendly debate over Gaudreau’s actual weight and height.
According to Monahan, he believes his teammate is about 150 pounds, max, and believes he’d be able to bench press Gaudreau at least 50 times.
