Brent Burns and Joe Thornton have become close friends during their time in San Jose together.
Last year, the Sharks opened up their season at home against the Los Angeles Kings before they departed for a five-game road trip on the east coast. Their fourth stop on the trip happened to be in Pittsburgh for a rematch of the previous season’s Stanley Cup Final and the bearded duo strolled around town without a worry in their minds.
This season, the Sharks are taking full advantage of the photo that went viral and have turned the image of topless Joe Thornton roaming the streets of Pittsburgh into a giveaway for their game against the New Jersey Devils in March.
From the beard to the shirt on the left shoulder, this bobblehead is pretty accurate in comparison to the original image.
The Sharks have some other incredible giveaways in store this season, including a Brent Burns Nutcracker, a Brent Burns camo suit bobblehead and a Joe Pavelski Captain America bobblehead.
