The basketball world held a heavy heart the day Craig Sager passed on. The 2016 Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee passed away on December 15, 2016, after a battle with acute myeloid leukemia. That evening, he was memorialized around the league.
Today, he is still being remembered. Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook did so by way of a gesture, wearing Jordans customized to look like the patterns Sager became identified with.
It’s not very often that you find someone who is beloved throughout the sporting world, but Sager was absolutely one of those few.
Rest in peace, Craig.
