Rod Brind’Amour and the Carolina Hurricanes found out who they are facing in the Eastern Conference Final on Monday night, but while they wait for the Western Conference matchups, it’s all about practice.
Brind’Amour must have been watching some sports highlights in the morning, because at practice he was able to pull out one of the greatest sports references of all time. Jordan Martinook was missing from practice and when explaining that it was just a maintenance day, Brind’Amour dropped the Allen Iverson quote “We’re talking about practice”.
The reason we assume he was watching some sports highlights this morning, is because Iverson said that quote on this same day in 2002.
Iverson has been popping in the news lately as well, but mainly because he’s been having a blast at 76ers games. It seems like Carolina is having this much fun with everything they do this year.
