The St. Louis Blues made a splash on the first day of free agency, signing Torey Krug from the Boston Bruins on a seven-year contract with a $6.5 million AAV.

One of Krug’s new teammates is definitely a little too familiar with him already — Robert Thomas was the subject of a controversial hit from Krug during Game 1 of last year’s Stanley Cup Final.

It seems to be all water under the bridge now, though! Thomas joked about the incident while welcoming his new teammate to the Blues.

We’re sure the first conversation between Krug and Thomas in the locker room will be a fun one, but it’s nice to see that Thomas can look back on it and laugh. It could’ve potentially been an awkward teammate dynamic otherwise, but look at these two now. Friends already!
