This past weekend, hundreds of thousands of people across North America took part in the March For Our Lives protest in hopes of putting an end to gun violence and to establish stricter gun control laws in the United States.
The entire day was organized by survivors from the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and many of them and their families got to march in Washington, D.C., thanks to New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who hooked them up with the team’s plane to fly them from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Washington, D.C.
Waiting for the survivors and their families on their seats on the Patriots' team plane was an inspirational letter from Robert Kraft addressed to each of them, as well as a Patriots baseball hat.
Aside from flying from Florida to D.C. in the Patriots’ team plane, the team’s guests also got to try on one of the team’s Super Bowl rings and they got to lounge out on the same seats the players sit on.
It’s nice to see Kraft and the Patriots step up during a time like this and the kind gesture will not be forgotten by any of the people who got to go on the flight.
