Hundreds of thousands of people across North America will take part in the March For Our Lives protest on Saturday, March 24, in hopes of putting an end to gun violence and for stricter gun control laws in the United States.
Organized by survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, an estimated 500,000 people are expected to rally through downtown Washington, D.C., and that large group will include students from the school, thanks to New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas students will be in Washington for the protest on Saturday thanks to Robert Kraft, who donated the Patriots’ team plane to the students so they could make the trip from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Washington, D.C. in time for the protest.
The March For Our Lives protests will take place across the United States and in more than a dozen cities in Canada.
