Paul Pierce hasn’t shown the Toronto Raptors any love this season, and he certainly didn’t show them any love during his NBA career, but there’s always time for people to change.
Ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals, members of the ESPN panel and basketball analysts shared their predictions for the series and, surprisingly, Pierce was all in on the Raptors.
The predictions were split right down the middle, with four people taking the Warriors and four people taking the Raptors, but it was a bunch of former players who rolled with Toronto over Golden State. Since Pierce was one of those people who went with the Raptors, basketball fans were quick to roast the 10-time NBA All-Star for jumping on the bandwagon.
You can’t blame Raptors fans for being nervous about Pierce’s prediction because we all know how well that’s worked out for him so far during the playoffs. Raptors fans made sure to let Pierce know how they feel about him and his predictions, as they started a loud chant before the game.
